The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality ("ADEQ") monitors the District's facilites under the authority of the Federal Environmental Proection Agency ("EPA"). To maintain compliance, our ADEQ State certified day-to-day operators carry out specific procedures as outlined in the State's approved operating plans and procedures. The District's water facilities (including wells, tank, pump station, and distribution system) are periodically inspected for design and performance compliance by ADEQ. The wastewater facilities (collection system, inflow tank, processing chambers, outfow treatment equipment, and the pond) are periodically inspected by ADEQ to assure the regulators the District and its operators are meeting the design and performance conditions specified under the District's Aquifer Protection Permit as issued by the State.
